Halloween Party Hats
Made from tissue paper for that vintage look!

These were lots of fun and they look so much like the pricey vintage hats! I have not posted the patterns because I am not sure of the copyright issues for a commercial site. I just googled origami hats and there were lots of patterns to choose from. I used a traditional hat, a bishops hat, a samurai hat and a crown so if you use those key words you should come up with something. I used three layers of 20 x 20 sheets of tissue for each hat and I anchored each one to the next with a few dots of double stick tape so they would not slide around while I folded them. Once folded I stamps with various Halloween stamps from our sponsor Scrolls Work Rubber Stamps using staz-on ink. Be sure to put a piece of mat board inside the hat so the ink doest go though to the other side of the hat. Then I used my Halloween collage sheet available at my etsy store for the medallion on the face of each one. The tassels were made by layering several sheets of tissue paper and sewing down the center. Then I cut strips almost to the stitching. Once twisted I had a great garland to cut sections off of.
